To see if that exact car still has an open recall, enter the VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. Recall repairs are free at a franchised dealer of the brand. **Does it tell me if the car has a salvage or flood title?** No. Use TxDMV's title check or an NMVTIS vehicle history report for that. **Do you store my VIN?** No. The lookup goes straight from your browser to NHTSA.
